Paintball and a Snow Day

Thu Dec 10, 2009, 12:30 PM
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: my annoying neighbors shouting at each other
  • Watching: DJCipster4BREAKS's videos on YouTube
  • Eating: chips
  • Drinking: water
So I actually played paintball for the first time last week! :D We played it in my Air Force Leadership Lab class for two hours, it was awesome. I want to play again so much now, but it snowed a bit while we played and it was really cold! Our masks were all fogged up and it was hard to tell who was an enemy or friend, especially after it got dark. But still, I loved it so much! I was both happy and slightly dissapointed at the same time that I didn't get shot once...I wanted to know how much it hurt, but I guess my team (we were in teams of 4) did such a great job that we didn't get hit!

It is a blizzard outside today. School is closed, which means one of my exams is postponed!!! I am so happy that I have more time to study for it, since I haven't really started studying for it at all. But I cannot wait for spring to come so I can play more paintball!!!

Tagged!

Got tagged by the great :iconautobrat:

1. Post the rules.
2. Each tagged person must tell 8 things about themselves.
3. At the end you have to tag 8 people and post their icons in your journal.
4. Go back to their page and leave a comment saying you tagged them.
5. No tag backs!

:plotting: Here it goes:

1. I love motorcycles, and I hope to someday have either a Yamaha R6 ([link]) or a Yamaha FZ6 ([link]). I got my motorcycle endorsement for my license over the summer, all I need now is money to buy a motorcycle!

2. I am in the Air Force ROTC program, and I love it so far.

3. I am a very introverted person. I can spend hours alone just pondering life, the universe, and everything. (yay for geeky Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference!)

4. I cry way too easily. I wish I didn't.

5. Bacon is awesome. I could eat it until I explode.

6. I am obsessed with paintball, but I have yet to actually play because it is such an expensive hobby.

7. I have a double-jointed jaw.

8. I am learning to play the drums. :D

If you want to fill it out, I tag you! I always break these tagging rules, why start following them now? :devilish:

Hope everyone's week is going well!

Sorry for the photo overload lately...I recently uploaded a ton of photos, and now I have a ton more I plan on uploading either tonight or over the next few days. I try to pick out my best photos to upload, but still be warned that your inbox is about to get swamped again! :evillaugh: I hope to hear your opinions on a few of them. :)

Oh, and I haven't abandoned drawing...I just needed a break from it. Inspiration comes and goes quickly for me.

Adventures with Zune

Sun Aug 2, 2009, 3:26 PM
  • Mood: Disbelief
  • Listening to: Nothing, because the freakin' Zune doesn't work!
  • Reading: Zune help forums
  • Watching: Red vs. Blue: Welcome to the Social
I've been trying to buy a Zune so that I won't have to bring all my CDs with me to college, 'cause that would just be insane with all the CDs I have. But so far I have gone through two purchases and they are both defective!!! :rage: The first one I was suspicious of from the start because it had obviously been repackaged, but it was the last one the store had. So I gave it a try and naturally it didn't work. It would send static through the headphones (I tried more than one pair of headphones) and it would shut off randomly and not turn back on (and the battery was fully charged). I even tried restarting it like the help website said and it would NOT turn on. Geek squad tested it at the store and they said it was definitely defective.

So I exchanged that one for a new one a week later. This one was definitely new, but it worried me when I got home and saw that the bottom of the box says "for sale in Canada only." :O_o: Yeah...weird, since I'm in the US. Well, turns out that one is defective too! Same static as the first one, and the battery will not stay charged at all. I charged this thing for five hours and got 45 minutes of play!!!! :crash: Now I have to return that one too.

To make matters worse, I bought a case for the second Zune that came with a screen guard, so the screen would stay nice and unscratched. Only problem is, the freakin' screen guard was not in the package! And they wouldn't believe me, so I couldn't return the darn thing either. I'm going to a different Best Buy location next time, because this just shouldn't be happening. I don't think the Zune product is the problem, I think that my local store just resells defective returned crap. I'm spending a lot of money on a MP3 player here, and I want it to be in working order!

Anyway, rant over now. Just needed to get that out. :)
