I had a bout of inspiration last night and started drawing again. I do hope to finish what I started (though we all know how that usually goes!) because I miss drawing so much. I am still improving (and there is much room for improvement, especially with my digital skills) but I worry that without any practice for such long periods of time that I will get rusty and lose those skills. I also realized I have quite a few good drawings that I haven't even uploaded, just sitting in my sketchbook. I may just upload them just as they are to have something new-ish in my gallery.

Went through my gallery and old DA journals and deleted a lot of stuff, moved old things to my scraps folder, and in general got things in order a bit on this site. I have a week I am taking off from work this coming Thanksgiving so I hope to make some time in there for art, or at least writing a short story, SOMETHING of the creative sort.

Thought I'd try this with one of my lesser used OC's (As if I use any of them? They just kind of exist in my mind...)

1.) What is your name?
*smiles politely and sits down in the interview chair* Evade.

2.) Do you know why you were named that?
No, but I like it. Suits me I think.

3.) Are you single or taken?
…Single at the moment. Why is that important? *lifts eyebrow*

4.) Have any abilities and powers?
Nothing out of the ordinary. I was sparked a medic, so my integrated weapons leave a bit to be desired. I’ve improved them a little, but upgrades are expensive.

5.) Stop being Mary Sue.
Um... isn't that a girl's name? I'm a mech, thanks.

6.) What's your eye color?
Standard Autobot light blue.

7.) How about hair color?
Transformers don’t have hair. Thank Primus, ‘cause that would be weird.

8.) Have you any family members?
Not really. There was one bot whom I considered family, but he…passed on. *avoids eye contact*

9.) Oh? How about pets?
I don’t really have the means to have a pet. Not sure I’d want one anyway, always having to keep an eye on them; too much work.

10.) That's cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don't like. 
Snow. I despise snow. So cold, and the feeling of it in the grooves of my tires when the roads are covered in it…*shivers*

11.) Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
I enjoy racing a lot. I also like seeing how things work; taking them apart and putting them back together again.

12.) Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before?
Only Decepticons. *smirks*

13.) Okayyy.... Ever...killed anyone before?
Like I said, a few Decepticons. Besides my integrated weapons, I have an energon rifle that’s pretty capable of kicking aft. Though I haven’t taken down any ‘cons by myself, I’ve certainly helped take down more than a few.

14.) Uh... k. That's...good, I guess. What kind of animal are you?
Animal? I’ve never wanted to have a beast mode, if that’s what you mean. I know some bots prefer that, but it’s not for me. I love my wheels too much.

15.) Name your worst habits. 
All of them?! Well, the biggest one is I sometimes think about the past too much, with the war and all. Takes me back to some bad places. *doorwings twitch subtly*

16.) Do you look up to anyone at all?
There was one bot that I really looked up to a lot – a close friend of mine, but I haven’t seen him in a long while. *pauses* I guess also Optimus Prime, because what Autobot wouldn’t look up to him? Maybe even literally, ha! *waves hand* Oh scrap, sorry. That was an awful joke.

Huh?

18.) Do you go to school?
No. Though I’d like to learn more skills someday, if this Autobot-Decepticon war ever ends.

Oh, um…*straightens in seat and fidgets* Well, maybe if the right bot came along, I guess it could be a possibility. *shrugs*

20.) Do you have fangirls/fanboys?
*glances around* Not that I know of!

21.) What are you most afraid of?
Why would I tell a stranger my greatest fear? *grins shamelessly*

22.) What do you usually wear?
…My armor. It’s kind of attached to me.

23.) What's one food that tempts you?
I’ve never had energon goodies before, but I’ve heard they’re fantastic.

24.) Am I annoying you?
Uh, no. I’d let you know if you were.

*Transforms back and sits down again* Well, not too many. I’d rather have a few close friends than a ton of casual friends.

It would probably clog my lines.

Energon, of course.

Anywhere without snow and ice! *laughs nervously*

Uh…

34.) Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?
Lake I guess. Not sure how the salt of the ocean would affect my undercarriage. In fact, I’m not even sure I can swim. Never tried it.

*crosses arms and attempts a smug grin* I’m not answering that.

36.) Any fetishes?
Not answering that one either.

38.) Camping or indoors?
It’s nice to have a warm and dry place to recharge at the end of the day. Also nice to have a place to yourself. Outside isn’t so bad, but you can only wake up so many times with a cat snuggled in your engine chassis before you start to wonder why you came to this planet in the first place! *laughs*

I'm not entirely sure why you blocked me, I did not attack, harrass, or bully you in any way. I merely replied (in a polite manner) to your comment about art theft on my friend's piece of art. I explained that if you had read the description, you would clearly understand that my friend had not stolen the art, she used the design as practice to further her own skills, and gave the original artist COMPLETE credit, even proving a link to the original piece.

I am not entirely sure why you left a comment on my profile enouraging me to learn the difference between study versus copy, and then immediately blocked me so I could not reply to your comment and defend my previous statement. It seems more than a little underhanded to me, but nonetheless, here is my reply:

Lots of artists LEARN by initially attempting to copy a style or many styles, to help themselves find their own style. This does not necessarily mean they are stealing. Please learn to be more discriminatory of who you call an art thief. My friend does her utmost to credit artists whenever she is inspired by their work to do something of her own, and even though the piece in question is the same design, she gave COMPLETE credit to the original artist, providing a link, and even said she would take it down if said artist had a problem with it. Since the original artist doesn't seem to have a problem with it, you shouldn't either.

STEALING is when you copy art and try to claim it as your own. My friend has done nothing of the sort.

If you wish to further discuss this - in a calm and adult manner - I would be more than happy to. I hope you can learn to be more open about discussing issues such as this, and not treat them as if your opinion is the final stand and no more needs to be said.

Just saw the movie and WOW is it amazing! I won't spoil it for anyone else but I will say you should totally see it in theaters if you have the chance. Totally worth it! I might go back and see it in 3D...it would be REALLY cool to see in 3D!

Gaaahhhh dragons are so cool

Had an awesome weekend cosplaying! And I was so surprised, because people actually wanted pictures of my Rapidash cosplay. I really didn't think it was that great but people really liked it! But I need to remake the hooves, the hot glue didn't stick for the whole day, so the socks peeled away from the hoof. I'm thinking of remaking them entirely, with a different material so they'll be more durable and smoother. Also, I met G1 Starscream. I'll upload some pics as soon as my friend sends them to me.

As far as the shopping went, I managed to find a leather coin purse that would be suitable for my Skyrim cosplay for only $8, another Aliens toy to be a buddy for the one I already have for $10, and orange fur elastics that go around your leg and ankle for $25. I immediately put on the fur elastics, since Rapidashes (Rapidashi? How are they made plural?) have flames around their ankles, it really added to the whole effect of the costume.

The weekend went by so fast! I can't wait for next year. They announced that next year's theme is video games, so since my Skyrim 2.0 armor will be done by then I will definitely wear that for one of the days, and probably Rapidash again for the other day. Yes, I'm already planning for next year.
